Hello everyone! Welcome back to the SuperArbalet channel!
This video continues with our athlete and friend, Andrey Kotov.
Andrey talked about a device for measuring arrow spine and other parameters, the Paps, from Firenock.
Today, I, your humble servant Anton, will show you how we use this device to measure and tune arrows. As a reminder, you can contact us and rest assured that your arrows will be tuned to the highest standard.
In this video, we'll measure three types of arrows. The first arrows are the Black Eagle PS-23, the second arrows are the Victory TAC-23, and the Power Flight arrows from Easton. The first two arrows are winter arrows and quite expensive, while the Power Flight arrows are more affordable. In this video, we'll explore whether there's a significant difference between these models.
After measuring the factory length of these arrows using Paps, we found a 0.5 mm difference for Easton arrows, but this isn't important to us. We can conclude that the factory assumes the arrows will be cut. You should choose the shortest arrow from the set and adjust the length accordingly. If you need longer arrows, choose a set with longer arrows at the store.
The next step is measuring the arrow weight. We measure the weight as follows: we weigh one shaft five times, calculate the average value, and use that as a weight. After measuring the weight of these arrows, we can conclude that the weight matches the manufacturer's stated value, and the range is the same as on the manufacturer's website, no more than 1 grain. Incidentally, the idea that a rough arrow means it weighs even less is incorrect.
Let's measure the arrow's curvature and summarize.
Black Eagle PS-23 arrows were the straightest, with a tolerance of 1 centimeter. Victory TAC-23 arrows came in second, with a tolerance of 1-2 centimeters. The record-holder and anti-record holder are Power Flight arrows, with a tolerance of 5 centimeters. This gradation is also valid for the previous measurements, but this can also be confirmed by the price: a single Easton arrow shaft will cost you $7, a Victory TAC-23 will cost $13, and a Black Eagle PS-23 will cost around $14.
Thank you for watching, and stay tuned for the next part on our SuperArbalet channel!
