Tutorial: (Photoshop CS3) Extract Filter (Other method of Pen Tool or Lasso)
Using a mode withing "Filters" you can extract a background from an image.
This can be used for such things as Cats etc... which will have a good outcome better than Magic Wand/Pen Tool/Lasso BUT only for things with difficult parts like hair OTHERWISE use the pen tool.
