Number 4: Sennheiser Ambeo Soundbar
The Sennheiser Ambeo is a tremendously stunning piece of equipment in both the aural and visual senses. It is almost 1.3 meters wide, making it larger than many other soundbars out there. It is also significantly heavier.
However, there is a reason for that! When compared to most soundbars, the Ambeo simply packs in larger, more powerful speakers, which results in a truly immersive listening experience.
The 3D audio sounds completely effortless, with lots of low-end oomph. In terms of connectivity, Bluetooth 4.2 and Chromecast support for streaming are both outstanding features.
Although, due to its size, it can be a little difficult to position. It also does not include a wall mount, so you may have to make an additional investment to buy one. However, once everything is in order, the results are magnificent!
Number 3: Sony HT-G700
Planning on spending as little as possible? The Sony HT-G700 may be the perfect solution. Despite its lower price, it has a big sound and comes equipped with a wireless subwoofer, a dedicated HDMI input, and support for both Dolby Atmos and DTS:X.
Sony's proprietary Vertical Surround Engine and S-Force Pro Front Surround technology provide a stunning Dolby Atmos atmosphere, while the subwoofer adds enough heaviness to huge explosions and action sequences.
However, as an entry-level Dolby Atmos soundbar, it can't compete in terms of clarity with the considerably more expensive Sony HT-ST5000. Additionally, it lacks music streaming capabilities as well as voice control.
But if you're looking for a piece of home cinema equipment on a tight budget, the powerful-sounding HT-700 delivers a really cinematic experience at a reasonable cost.
Number 2: Yamaha YSP-5600
The YSP-5600 was created by Yamaha, which was one of the first companies to release a Dolby Atmos soundbar. Despite this, it has aged gracefully and remains one of the greatest Dolby Atmos soundbars on the market to this day.
This soundbar features 46 speakers, allowing it to simulate 3D sound equivalent to 7.1.2 channels, resulting in a massive soundfield that distributes sounds with exceptional accuracy.
Additional wireless subwoofers are available from Yamaha, although they aren't necessary. When it comes to power, there isn't a single thing that this soundbar doesn't have. Although it isn't very sleek, you can expect to be rewarded with powerful low-end performance, even when the volume is turned up to the max.
Streaming music from your smartphone is simple, thanks to the Yamaha's superb MusicCast app.
Since its introduction, the competition has grown significantly more intense, yet the YSP-5600 has withstood the test of time and continues to perform extremely well.
Number 1: Sony HT-ZF9
The Sony HT-ZF9 soundbar is an excellent option for those who want to enjoy great sound at a reasonable price. This soundbar has no dedicated upward-firing drivers. Instead, innovative psychoacoustic technologies are used to create 7.1.2 surround sound.
The effect is stunning, completely immersing you in three-dimensional sound.
The only downside is that it is not as immersive as the more expensive soundbars, but that is to be expected considering its price.
Calibration is also a breeze, and the device's connectivity and functionality are flawless. Spotify and Chromecast are supported, and Sony's LDAC technology ensures that Bluetooth playback is of top quality.
If you don't have the money or the space to invest in the more expensive soundbars, the Sony HT-ZF9 is an excellent alternative.
