REGIONAL ARRIVALS REMAIN A CHALLENGE FOR SAINT LUCIA'S TOURISM SECTOR
AN AREA OF CONCERN [2ND SEPTEMBER 2024] - Regional arrivals continue to be an area of concern for the local tourism industry. While the island did see 4% more guests coming from the Caribbean in July 2024, as compared to the same period last year, the numbers are significantly less than pre-covid figures. Minister for Tourism Dr. Ernest Hilaire believes that a collaborative approach between islands is the only way this challenge can be resolved.
