You can add a weather applet to the top panel of Ubuntu 13.10 Ubuntu Software Center does not have this and you will have to run the installation in your terminal. It is very easy to do, only 4 lines of Copy (highlight, then CtrlC), followed by opening the terminal (CtrlAltT), followed by Paste-into-terminal (ShiftCtrlV). Run the app for the first time and configure its parameters, i.e., City, etc. You will have to Restart your computer to get it going correctly. As an aside, I showed again how to use MKVMERGE to merge video segments A+B to create Z. This works even if using WEBM instead of files using MKV.
