Guitar Tutorial - Am Chord
To play the Am chord with guitar you use the same fingers and frets used for the Em chord, just on different strings. With this new tutorial for beginners we check how to correctly play the Am chord and make sure the sound is clear and nice.
Here is how to play the Am chord on guitar.
Middle finger on fret 2 of the third string from the top (third thickest string)
Ring finger on fret 2 of the fourth string from the top (fourth thickest string)
Index finger on fret 1 of the fifth string from the top (fifth thickest string)
While challenging for beginners, having E chord already in your repertoire (check this video tutorial to refresh it: • Guitar Tutorial - E Chord ), Am chord should come naturally after few strums. You might also want to pick each string separately to make sure the sound is clean, and follow all tips and instructions in the video tutorial.
