Especially for those who focus solely on using Yanfei Constellation 4 as a shield support, for Kokobear's artifacts, find these artifacts that are suitable for Yanfei C4, such as 2 Emblems for energy recharge to quickly charge her burst and 2 Tenacity for additional HP to thicken her shield. Alternatively, you can use the Noblesse 4-piece set to increase your party's ATK by 20%.

Also pay attention to her main stats: artifact sands ER% / HP%, Goblet HP%, and Circlet HP% to thicken Yanfei C4's shield. You can focus on ER% for her substats to cover the substantial 80 energy cost, and HP for shield thickness.

You can skip upgrading her talents altogether, as they won't affect her shield thickness. They'll only increase her damage slightly, as all artifact stats focus solely on ER and HP, thus deflating her ATK.
You can use Prototype Amber/Favonius Codex and TTDS as weapons. Prototype Amber can provide significant healing support and also replenish Yanfei's first burst. Favonius Codex can significantly increase ER%, which is useful for replenishing her burst and acting as a battery for your pyro DPS. TTDS is useful for increasing the ATK of the character you switch after Yanfei. For Energy Recharge, you can aim for a minimum of 240% if you build Yanfei C4 solely as a shield support.

BEGINNER TIPS
For those of you who get Yanfei early in the game, you don't need to worry too much about your team composition. Feel free to pair Yanfei with anyone on your team, but bringing a cryo or hydro character will make it easier to deal significant damage to enemies.
Regarding artifacts, Kokobear understands that when you first start playing, you'll have difficulty getting the artifact set you want. Therefore, for your main stats, you can focus on ATK% first, rather than critical. Optimal critical play requires orange artifacts, which you can start farming at AR 40. However, Kokobear recommends starting to focus on intensive artifact farming at AR 45 because orange artifact drops are guaranteed at AR45, rather than at AR40, where it's still a matter of luck. This means Fragile Resin will be more efficient when you reach AR45. This doesn't mean you shouldn't farm artifacts below AR40; you can still farm them, just don't overdo it.
For weapons, if you're playing F2P, you can craft Mappa Mare at the smith, which doesn't require gacha for this 4-star weapon.
