§ Momoko replaced original member Yui Mizuno (Yuimetal) officially in 2023
§ Yui left the band officially in 2018 but had been absent since 2017 due to health reasons. Babymetal performed in the interim with backup dancers, one of which was Momoko
• The backing band of session musicians is known as the Kami Band
• The band is a fusion of J-pop and heavy metal referred to as kawaii metal
• Fanbase known as The One collectively
• Produced by Kei “Kobametal” Kaboyashi (kind of the founder)
• Originally a sub-unit of the band Sakura Gakuin, the babymetal became independent in 2013

• Kobametal’s concept for the band from Wikipedia: A new type of metal where the members of the band receive “divine messages” from the Fox God. Moa Kikuchi is known for joking that the three members did not choose to join the band but were chosen by the Fox God, whose goal is said to have the band perform and spread their music all over the world.

• Doki Doki is a common saying in Japanese that means “a heart which is beating fast,” often used when someone is excited or anticipating something that’s about to happen
• Since this is an older song, Yuimetal is in the group instead of Momometal.
• Description from Wikipedia: The song has a modern heaviness sound in its music, with dark, atmospheric instrumentals that reverse into a catchier and brighter melody.
