In today’s video, we will be going over how to get started and set up a project with CaseGuard Studio.
When you open CaseGuard Studio you will be presented with the option to create a new project, open a recent project using the list on the right side of the Get Started window, open an existing project using the folder icon, begin a Bulk Redaction operation, or use the Screen Recorder.
At the bottom of the Get Started Window, there are Training Course videos linked, if you select one of them the video will open on YouTube via your web browser.
To create a new project select the “New Project” button.
Now you can name your project and customize the storage folder where the project will be stored on your computer.
From the “More Information” drop-down menu, you can add the Name of Requester, Case Number, and Date of Request, all of which will populate in the reports CaseGuard creates to help you maintain records of how your files are edited, Redacted, and Enhanced.
Once you’re ready, hit “New Project.”
The software will prompt you to add files at this time, select the files you want to Redact or Enhance and click “Open.”
To add additional files, select either the blue “Add Files” button in the center of the Project Files Panel or click the “Add Files” icon at the bottom of the Project Files Panel, next to the trash can icon.
If you added one wrong file, you can select it within the Project Files Panel and use the trash can icon, to Remove the file from CaseGuard.
If you added several wrong files, use the Open Project Folder icon. The folder containing this CaseGuard project will open and you are able to Remove several files at once.
Now close the project folder and click the “Refresh” icon and the Project Files Panel will update.
From the File drop-down menu at the top left corner of your Workspace, you have the option to open a recent project. The recent project list contains the last ten projects that you worked on.
To open a project that is not on the recent project list, select “Open Project.”
The last option in the Project Files Panel is to use the Compare feature. This shows you the difference between the files, allowing for easy comparison and review.
Using the “Select File To Compare” buttons, add your files to the Compare window.
Now you are able to navigate through each video separately or select “Combine Control” and navigate them together.
Happy Redacting!
