Watching my son play with his toys gives me some great insight into how flexible a child's mind is when at play. Children don't see separation between brands, they see all the toys as one giant world of toys to play together. I have found there are some very good toys and some not so good. My belief is the best toys have an ability to interact with many other different brands. I say this because the toys which don't tend to be excluded from big play events as you see in this video.
Sometimes it takes time to realise a great toy, and I'm classing this as a toy which gets played with long after it's out of the box and has the ability to be played with for years. I now class the Thomas & Friends Take N Play trains as fantastic toys. The Totally Tidmouth Playset has proven to be a toy which was well worth the initial cost. Over the years there have been some toys I started to do a review video of but found they were toys which has a very short lifespan or inability to mash with other toys. It's not worth giving these toys airtime as I have found the good toys tend to become the very popular videos for my channel. As parents we want to buy toys which present great playability and can educate, thats basic value for money with toys. But sadly the toy stores are loaded with flash in the pan toys promoted as the next big thing (often movie or game related). What tends happens is these toys get very limited play. Savvy toy companies make good money from these styles of toys which come in packaging which is far flashier than whats packed inside.
