Installing this was NOT easy. It took me many attempts and days of forum searching, but I finally got it going! Quick tip, convert all your videos to mp4 with audio in FLAC format. AAC audio format and mov video format does not play nicely. I also recommend installed ffmpeg in the software manager as well. I use Shutter Encoder to convert all my videos before bringing into DaVinci Resolve. Oh also, I did a slight different between original and banquet. Banquet is better tasting, but hey beer is beer!
So try to install it like in the video, if you run the GUI and are missing packages try installing them 1 by 1 at first.
sudo apt install libapr1 libaprutil1 libasound2 libglib2.0-0 libxcb-composite0 libxcb-cursor0
Then run the
sudo SKIP_PACKAGE_CHECK=1 /home/kyle/Downloads/DaVinci_Resolve_20.2.2_Linux.run -i
After this you should at least be able to get the installer going and see the icon appear on the desktop then do this before launching or if getting crashing.
cd /opt/resolve/libs &&
sudo rm -rf libgio-2.0.so libgio-2.0.so.0 libgio-2.0.so.0.6800.4 libglib-2.0.so libglib-2.0.so.0 libglib-2.0.so.0.6800.4 libgmodule-2.0.so libgmodule-2.0.so.0 libgmodule-2.0.so.0.6800.4
