Construction of a 150A diode bridge. For the realization all recycled material was used, tested and working. 50Hz alternating voltage is supplied to the diode bridge by a transformer with primary at 220 volts and secondary at 25 volts from 625VA, then modified in the windings, in order to obtain a primary at 230 volts and a secondary at 13.5 volts. The transformer is not powered directly from the mains voltage, but through a 4000VA VARIAC of the GUIDO BELOTTI, which provides a maximum output current of 18 Ampere. A 100,000 uF 30 VOLTS DC electrolytic capacitor of the SPRAGUE POWERLYTIC is then connected in parallel to the output of the diode bridge. Various tension tests are performed during the assembly phases.
