QXPMarkz not working on my QuarkXPress files - FAQ - File Extension:
Does your QXPMarkz seem to not be working? Does your QXPMarkz appear to be unable to open all files from QuarkXPress to InDesign? This video provides a solution, regarding the file extension!
QXPMarkz sometimes appears not to work with certain QuarkXPress files, all of your legacy QuarkXPress files, or even current QuarkXPress documents or layouts. The solution is quite simple, but there is sometimes confusion, due to one's workflow. If you still have problems, after watching or reading this, please contact Markzware Support, via:

The solution, in this case, is to simply ensure that your QuarkXPress documents have the file extension of “.qxp”. For instance, instead of “MyFile” it should be “MyFile.qxp”. If you see no file extension and you drag-and-drop that file onto the QXPMarkz application, itself, it will NOT work.
However, if you drop the same file into the QXPMarkz interface, after opening the app, it WILL work, but with a warning message that asks you if it is ok if we automatically add the file extension of "QXP" for you.
