When we buy a long-term test vehicle, we know that we’ll eventually say goodbye to it. In the case of our 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe Trailhawk, however, it’s not a very fond goodbye, but more of a relieved one.

Our ownership has been plagued by reliability issues — both self-inflicted and not — leading our Jeep to spend literal months out of our hands because it was busy in a dealership service department. After almost two full years of ownership, we’ve put roughly 15,000 miles on its odometer — less than some long-term vehicles have managed in a single year.

While we do appreciate the luxurious and high-tech interior that has withstood our ownership with minimal damage or creakiness, we’re not sad to see the Jeep go. Stay tuned for what will replace it.
