Breaking Into Product Management (FAANG) from an APM
As part of my series on how college students can break into various jobs, today we’re talking about product management! Nick and I both went through PM recruiting (and Nick went on to work full-time as a Google APM). We’re going to cover the timeline, common programs, resume, what to study, experience required, optimizing extracurriculars, how to interview and strategize if you’re recruiting for product management roles. This is based on our personal experience from 2 years ago so be aware, we can only speak to our personal experience. Most information like this is transferred within communities, but I think it should be more generally available instead of just who you know which is why I’m doing the series
