Slate Islands - Exploring Lake Superior in a Sailing Dinghy - Evans 16
I've finally got around to putting together some video and photos taken on my five-day sailing adventure in the Slate Islands on Lake Superior near Terrace Bay, Ontario, this past summer (of 2022).
Terrace Bay is about a six hour drive north of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.
I made the trip solo via my trailerable sailing dinghy "Firefly", an Evans 16, and explored the rugged, cold, and remote group of islands and bays that make up the Slates.
Hopefully it helps alleviate some winter blues and turns thoughts to future sailing and outdoor opportunities this coming summer!
