How to Install Windows 10 From USB Flash Drive: The Complete Tutorial Step by step
Download Windows Media Creation tools here https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/softw...
Download Rufus here https://rufus.ie/
if you are looking to do a clean install of your Windows 10 or you want to install a copy of windows 10 onto another computer using an installation USB drive then this video is for you.
Welcome guys and today I will show you how to create a copy of your windows 10 and then create an installation USB drive from that copy of windows.
First, we will need two tools for this operation.
We will need the Windows 10 Media Creation Tools, and we will also need the Rufus utility tool that will help format and create bootable USB flash drives
so let open up the internet browser and go to the Microsoft website and download the Media Creation Tool, the link is in the description below.
Let scroll down and find the Download tool now, click on it and download the tool.
Allow the download to complete (the downloading time will depend on your internet speed but this shouldn't take long as the files are only 18.6MB).
Ler now downloads the Rufus tool as well, the link is also in the description section below. This tool is only 1.1 MB and shouldn't take long to download.
Now close your browser and head back to where you had put your downloads. Mine is on desktop
Double click on Media Creation Tools to lunch, wait for the app to lunch then wait few minutes while things are getting ready.
Accept applicable notices and license terms, scroll through them and click accept.
wait for it to load, this might take a few minutes depending on how fast your computer is.

Now select Create installation media for another PC and leave the Upgrade this PC now option as we need to create an ISO file for another PC,
This iso file will be the one that we will use in Rufus to create the bootable USB.

Now let select the language, architecture, and Edition.
Language, select your language
The edition will be Windows 10 and the architecture we will select the 64bit one.
I wouldn't recommend using the use the recommended options from this PC as the setting of your current PC might not be the same as the PC that you want to install.
Click on next, sele iso file, and click on next.
Select the location where you want the file to be written and click on save.
Allow the application to create your Windows ISO file.
This process took me about 2 hours to complete.
Now that the image file is created, let create the USB drive.
first, plug in any USB drive that has more than 4gb of space.
8GB is recommended.
Now open Rufus.
under device, select the USB drive that you plugged in into your PC,
under boot selection, select the image that you have created.
Refus will auto-populate the other settings and I will recommend leaving all the other settings as default.
Now click on start.
this warning will tell you that all the data on that drive will be erased and lost. click ok and let the process start.
Rufus will delete and recreate partitions on your USB drive then will write all the needed windows files.
This process will take approximately 8 min.
wait for the process to successfully be completed then close Rufus.
Now safely remove your USB from this computer and plug it in onto the pc you want to fresh install.
Ensure that the pc is switched off. We need to now change the configuration n your PC's bios. You can enter your bios by pressing either Delete button, F12, F10, or F2 depending on the brand of PC that you are using.
Switch on the PC and enter BIOS. Navigates to Boot sequence or Startup and select boot.
Move up your USB drive to be the first boot device in the boot priority order by using the +/- keys or F5 & F6 keys depending on your motherboard.
Press F10 to save all the configuration changes and restart your PC.
The machine should now boot from the USB drive.
Also, you could use the boot menu shortcut F10 to boot directly from the drive without changing your BIOS configurations
Now that we are booting from the USB drive, let install windows 10.
Allow windows installation to load.
Now accepts Microsoft Software licence of terms and click on next.
Since we are doing a clean installation we will select the Custom installation.
Now it's time to delete all old partitions and format the hard drive.
Now create a new partition and click on apply the click ok.
Windows will create all the needed partitions from the unallocated space and format them for the installation.
Now click on next.
Allow windows to copy all the files and give it time to install.
Your computer will restart several times.
Make your that you have removed the USB drive from the USB port once your computer restarts for the first time.
