The first ten-day period of the month promises to be extremely comfortable. The lowest geomagnetic levels are expected on March 1st and 2nd, with the planetary index at just 2. This is the ideal time for the start of spring. From March 4th to 10th, conditions will remain calm, with the index not expected to rise above 3. The only exception will be March 3rd, when a brief spike to 4 is predicted.
The second ten-day period of March will be a true test. From March 12th to 20th, scientists predict nine consecutive days with a geomagnetic index of 4. This means that the Earth's magnetosphere will remain in a slightly agitated state for almost a week and a half without interruption. Only on March 11th is a brief respite expected, with an index of 2.
The final ten-day period of the month will return to a relatively calm scenario. Brief surges up to 4 will occur on March 23rd and 24th. The rest of the time, the background level will be within normal limits.
