Why do some final battles leave a lasting impression… and why do others fall completely flat?
In this video, we're talking about a crucial moment in any work of fiction: the final battle.
The one we wait for for hours, sometimes years.
The one that can elevate a story… or ruin it.
Through the final battle of Stranger Things, I'll offer a slightly different analysis.
Why?
Because the Duffer brothers themselves explained that they were inspired by Dungeons & Dragons… and Baldur's Gate 3.
And when you look at this finale with the eyes of a player or a game master, everything becomes clearer.
👉 Here, there's no rushed duel.
👉 No overpowered chosen one while everyone else watches.
👉 But a battle plan, specific roles, a collective strategy.
Like in a good RPG:
some draw attention,
others inflict damage,
others provide support or control,
and every character counts.
But is that enough to make the fight perfect?
Not entirely.
In this video, I'll explain:
why this fight works better than most Hollywood finales,
what it owes to role-playing and game design,
and, most importantly, what's still missing to create real tension.
Because a good final fight isn't about power.
It's about choices, risks, and consequences.
And you,
👉 did you get that "RPG session" feel?
👉 which final fight has left the biggest impression on you?
