This video is using miniDLNA to show you how to use the DLNA protocol to easily share media throughout your LAN.

DLNA is a set of standards that allow media sharing between devices, it's widely supported but not many people seem to know about it. Hopefully you find this useful :)

The minidlna command used in this video is:

minidlnad -f /home/$USER/.config/minidlna/minidlna.conf -P /home/$USER/.config/minidlna/minidlna.pid -d

NOTE: Minidlna seems to have been renamed to ReadyMedia however all command line and config file locations stay the same.
