Starfield is like Cyberpunk. You don't "have" to RUSH at the end game to actually have fun. Although you will eventually get to the end game, after playing 209 hours into Starfield, I can tell you that I have WAY MORE FUN doing side quests mission then doing the Main Mission itself.
However, I do recommend that you do your MAIN MISSION to get some companions ( Sam Coe, Sarah, Lin, Heller, etc ) in order to assist you in your journey and assign them to your ship or oupost.
But after you acquire them, you DON'T HAVE to complete the Main mission. You can do side missions and STILL level up your character while having tons of fun!
By doing side mission, it's like you're living a "customized" storyline. Many things are unexpected and some are just hilarious! That's what make STARFIELD a great game.
Going to the END GAME, may disappoint you... why? Well... bcz it's just a "Loop"... you're done after you complete the main mission.
You simply get a better ship? Better stats? But that doesn't make your journey or game experience better.
You don't need all the LEGENDARIES to actually enjoy the story.
Feel free to level up your class the way you want, but I think doing SIDE mission will customizing your own story is way more immersive then just going straight to the end.
End game can also be other things like " decorating " your base. Building your dream ship, exploring different planets, etc. You don't need to be high level for that. But you do need the CREDITS and some Levels to gain SKILL POINTS to apply to some perks in order to build better facilities or ship parts or outpost buildings.
However, you don't need to CHEAT your way up in order to enjoy this game. If you just play this game legitimately, you'll have way more fun since everything... everywhere will be a journey for discovery... not a REDUNDANCY of non-sensical "glitch-exploits" trick to cheat your way up like many does.
But again, if you like to cheat your way up... be my guess... but paying 150$ on a game... to just cheat your way up to the end without "savoring" the game and all it has to offer... is simply quite strange tbh. Not sure where is the fun in that... but ok.
