What Is A Pressure Pot & Do You Need One?
Hi everyone! I know it's been a while since my last long-form video...oops. Sorry about that. But today I am finally here to talk all about PRESSURE POTS! This video specifically discusses the uses of pressure pots in resin casting and silicone mold making. The conclusive thought of this video is while a pressure pot is not necessary for dice making, resin casting, or mold making, it is an extremely helpful device - especially for anyone looking to work professionally in the listed areas.
I have two 2.5 gallon Harbor Freight paint pots that were converted by my dad (thanks dad!) into pressure pots. Here's the link to the paint pot https://www.harborfreight.com/2-1-2-h... however, again, this REQUIRES MECHANICAL CONVERSION to function as a pressure pot. I now also have a California Air Tools 10 gallon pressure pot. I call this a 5 gallon pot in the video, but my father said it’s the 10 gallon 366 model that was also converted to a pressure pot, so that’s my bad!! The 5 gallon is marketed and sold as a pressure pot for casting and does NOT require any conversion to use. Here's a link to that pot as well
