The Final Girl
THE FINAL GIRL is a comedy horror short that I made for the Horror Film Roulette Film Fest 2024. I was assigned the horror sub-genre of 'monster' (yay!) and had four weeks to make a film from scratch. This short was featured in the Top 25 for the festival, which means it got screened in a real theater!
This project stretched me as a filmmaker.
1. I used actors aside from my sister and myself. Wow. Big step. See if you can spot me tho
2. Many shooting days! And then 2 sessions of pick up shots. AND then I made the blood special effect because I wasn't allowed to pour fake blood on hardwood floor if you can imagine that.
3. We had wonderful people spend a Saturday evening with us to be our background players. Having them on set was a lot of fun
