So, the Alsafloor laminate flooring from the Baton Rompu collection – Hungarian Herringbone, wear resistance class 33, 12 mm thick, is equipped with a 5G lock, the one with a plastic latch.

My impression of the laminate flooring is mixed – the use of such a lock in this collection raises questions for me personally. In my opinion, the locking system from Kronotex or Berry Alloc in their herringbone collections is much better. Due to the use of a plastic insert, this laminate flooring is very likely to squeak. On this project, we sanded the screed because it was no longer possible to install a self-leveling floor. The resulting base, while not perfect, was quite smooth. However, immediately after installation, creaking was still audible in some places.
Assembling the laminate flooring is fun and enjoyable, and it's quite easy to assemble. However, if you need to disassemble it, difficulties will definitely arise, due to the lock. The plastic latch prevents the lock from being opened without damage. However, the instructions for the laminate flooring describe how to disassemble it—you need to insert a piece of wood into the lock and pry it out, but we were unable to do this, most likely because the laminate flooring was initially assembled incorrectly. This collection's laminate flooring cannot be assembled backwards, and this must be taken into account when deciding where to begin installation.
Since we were already remodeling the project, I was fortunate to learn another lesson about herringbone laminate flooring: don't join old laminate flooring (that was already in place) to new. In our example, the old laminate flooring had absorbed moisture, and each piece had expanded by about a millimeter. When joining the old to the new, gaps inevitably appear, and they're very noticeable. This isn't a problem when the laminate flooring is laid straight, as it can be interleaved in rows, but with herringbone, this is simply not possible.
Before installation, as I mentioned, you need to decide on a location, starting from the farthest wall and ensuring that there's no need to backtrack anywhere. We start by cutting triangles, making sure to center them in the room, and then lay the left and right planks one after the other. It's best to use a punch and hammer; without them, the process is much more difficult and gaps may remain between the planks.
