I love mosses and ferns, and was excited when several started growing near my house after all the winter rains. I was excited when the folks at Vertplanter asked me to try their hydroponic pot as I knew I wanted to bring some of these plants and grow them in my house. I have always enjoyed foraging plants, and made sure that I was selecting plants that are abundant and not rare or endangered.
The Vertplanter pot is a unique, vertical, hydroponic pot made from terracotta, which allows plants to grow on the outside, while remaining moist from the water that is kept on the inside. There are several types of plants that can be used with the Vertplanter, from produce sprouts such as chia and alfalfa to orchids, ferns and vining plants.
