Stop desktop icons from snapping to place on Ubuntu 20.04 (Unity)
Ubuntu 20.04 (Unity) ships with a Desktop that automatically arranges desktop folders and files and snaps them into place. You can update these options by simply right-clicking on the desktop and choosing the "customize" option. This allows you to change the size / spacing of the icons, as well as whether they are organized automatically for you by a particular parameter such as title (alphabetical), date, etc.
