pdating or Deleting Field Values using Data Access Update Cursor
Do not use the slow arcpy.updatecursor, use the faster arcpy.da.updatecursor. The Update Cursor allows you to delete or change table records and field values. It also allows sql queries and changing shape properties. Much faster than the calculate field geoprocessing tool!
