What your Xbox 360 Gamerpic Meant. Besides the Xbox 360 nostalgia trip these gamerpics hold nowadays, they all mean a lot to me as they were the holy grail of profile pictures. The Xbox 360 originally came with 12 gamerpics. More were later implemented. And even though the Xbox 360 did not allow custom gamerpics to be uploaded and set, like nowadays on the Xbox Ones and Xbox Series S/X. Gamers of the Xbox 360 would unlock more gamerpics based off the games they played. You can even take a selfie of your Xbox 360 avatar. You can dress them in any way you want, as the Xbox 360 had an avatar store where you can buy or unlock items. It was simple but fun. Dressing up yopur Xbox 360 Avatar in a MW2 outfit was so cool to me at the time. And almost every game on the Xbox 360 allowed players to unlock gamerpics related to that game. Like for the Beatles Rock Band, you can set a Beatle as your gamerpic. Or, just make your Xbox 360 Avatar look like a Beatle. The sky was the limit!
Back then, these gamerpics weren't as special as they are today. Mostly because of the whole Xbox Nostalgia thing. But each of the original gamerpics said something about you. Anything from being a girl simply because of the Anime Cat Girl gamerpic, to being a tryhard because of the Red Monkey gamerpic. These gamerpics all meant something to all of us. And today, simply looking at these gamerpics just takes you back and reminds you of all the nostalgic memories you had on the Xbox 360. As an Xbox 360 veteran, these gamerpics mean a lot to me and it's a shame Microsoft didn't fully remaster all of them. They only remastered three of them in 2022, the Emo Bubble Gum Skater, the Xbox 360 Panda, and the Xbox 360 waves. I prefer the originals, since trhe remastered ones look way to modern for my taste.
