P2422 Evaporative Emission System Vent Valve Stuck Closed Hyundai Sonata. Canister Vent Valve

This video will show you how to fix a common problem on newer vehicles. If you ever see a generic P2422 code than most likely the Canister Valve is stuck close which most likely leads to replace the canister valve. They are not very expanse. A brand new canister valve for this Hyundai Sonata was only $33.
It is one of those codes that will not show up immediately. It might take up to 200 miles to turn the engine light on.
We demonstrated on a 2006 Hyundai Sonata how to remove and replace the canister valve solenoid. It is very simple procedure and usually it takes about 10-15 minutes to do it.
This procedure will work on all Hyundai Sonata that generation:
