What Did NASA Discover At PLUTO??
NASA was very surprised when they received the first close-up pictures of Pluto from the New Horizons Spacecraft. They thought Pluto was just a boring icy rock, but it turned out to be a very interesting and active world. The spacecraft saw lots of different things like big areas of ice, tall mountains made of ice, and a blue sky. The most surprising thing was a heart-shaped feature that showed signs of recent activity. They also found evidence of possible sand dunes, which means there might be wind and weather on Pluto. The mission showed us that even faraway places like Pluto can be very complicated and interesting.
