Powering Up Glove80 in Mass Storage Mode

To load new firmware onto your Glove80 keyboard, you will need to put it into "bootloader mass storage device mode". This will allow you to transfer the new firmware file as if the keyboard were a USB drive.

*There are two ways to enter bootloader mass storage device mode:*

**Entering bootloader mass storage device mode on power-up**: This is the recommended method, as it does not require a working ZMK installation or a connection between the left and right halves of the keyboard.

**Entering bootloader mass storage device mode from ZMK**: This method can be used if you have a working ZMK installation and the left and right halves are communicating.

The following steps describe how to enter bootloader mass storage device mode on power-up:

*To put the left half into bootloader mass storage device mode:*

1. Switch off the power switch of the left half.
2. Connect a USB cable from the host computer to the left half.
3. While holding down the keys *Magic + E* (on the default layout), switch on the power switch of the left half.

*To put the right half into bootloader mass storage device mode:*

1. Switch off the power switch of the right half.
2. Connect a USB cable from the host computer to the right half.
3. While holding down the keys *I + PgDn* (on the default layout), switch on the power switch of the right half.

You can tell if a Glove80 half has successfully entered bootloader mass storage device mode by the slow pulsing red LED next to the power switch.
