Shopify discount code behavior is straightforward.
You can create one discount code for a percentage discount. It does not allow you to create a discount code that works differently based on cart subtotal or collection.
All In One Automatic Discounts allow you to setup the a discount code like this. A single discount code works as per your cart subtotal or collection.
For ex: WELCOME is the discount code
if cart total is
100+ then 10% off
200+ then 20% off
300+ then 30% off
Or based on collection like below
If collection X then 15% off
if collection Y then 20% off
If collection Z then 25% off
