Climate change, a process that is accentuated by actions of humanity, is one of the greatest threats to sustainable development worldwide, warns the United Nations (UN).
As part of the commemoration of the International Day of Mother Earth, to be held today, April 22, the organization indicates that this damage directly impacts the lives of future generations.
He adds that to achieve a balance between the economic, social and environmental needs of present and future generations, it is a priority to promote harmony with nature and the planet.
To this end, the countries have made different initiatives and signed agreements such as the one in Paris, in order to foster international cooperation among the parties on education, training, awareness and public participation on climate change.
