The class structure is strongly reflected in the public space of cities. The streets are not neutral, but reflect social, economic and political inequalities.

High-income areas: Have clean sidewalks, greenery, and increased policing.

Degraded neighborhoods: They feature inadequate infrastructure, potholes, and neglected public spaces.

Exclusion: Low-income citizens are indirectly pushed out of expensive commercial zones.

Benches with partitions: Designed to prevent homeless people from lying down.

Network quality: Poorer neighborhoods have less reliable or frequent transit.

Police presence: Often aimed at controlling and removing marginalized groups from "Showcase of the city"
