The Crypto Dad gets back to his roots by demonstrating how to encrypt a USB flash drive. I show you two methods. The first one is the built-in BitLocker software that is included in Microsoft Windows. The second method uses open-source disk encryption software for Windows called VeraCrypt.
I also discuss the difference between proprietary software and open-source software. I discuss the advantages and trade-offs of each method.
Software used is:
1st Method
Microsoft Windows BitLocker:

2nd Method
VeraCrypt Open-Source Encryption Software
