NOTE: Small mistake in the video, I dragged the hax.dylib to the Users folder instead of the Home folder. Just drag into the pane that has Applications, Documents, Desktop etc in it.

This video shows you the basic steps required to get macOS 11.0 Big Sur to boot on unsupported Macs. Usability and reliability of this process varies wildly system to system, and it is thought to work best on Mid 2012 MacBook Pros and 2013 iMacs at this point. Performing this method is solely to allow you to experiment with macOS 11.0 if you are on an older Mac. If you are looking for a reliable installation, I strongly recommend you wait until a "patcher" becomes available from someone such as dosdude1. That said, the install is perfectly fast and stable on the Mid 2012 MBP, although Wi-Fi doesn't function yet.

Terminal command 1: sudo defaults write /Library/Preferences/com.apple.security.libraryvalidation.plist DisableLibraryValidation -bool true
Terminal command 2: launchctl setenv DYLD_INSERT_LIBRARIES $PWD/Hax.dylib
Last resort step (you will need to figure out how to do this a bit!):
on macOS Catalina or another OS that can access your Big Sur APFS partition, delete telemetry from /System/Library/UserEventPlugins/com.apple.telemetry.plugin (delete the folder) (appears to be un-necessary on mid 2012 MBP or similar)
