Always make sure you unzip any .zip files and always put the .package files, the mods, into your Mods folder.
How to download our CC Folder from Google Drive: Look for the title of the folder near the top-left section of the downloads page. The title should be something like "Mods" or "Mods # 3". Click the title and a menu should drop-down. Click "Download" and it should start downloading to your computer. If it downloads as a .zip file do not forget to extract the files so you can put the .package files into you Mods folder.
I do not know if this is the case for Apple computers, but this is the way I download cc on my Windows 10 computer. It has worked for me with no complications.
