Leipzig City Tunnel | Leipzig S-Bahn (Mitteldeutschland) 🇩🇪 | 2023
The idea to build a railway tunnel under Leipzig city center existed for more than 100 years! On December 15th, 2013, Leipzig City Tunnel was finally opened. Nowadays, tunnel is used mostly by the suburban trains of the S-Bahn Mitteldeutschland network - "Bombardier Talent 2" trains (DB Class 442) operate every few minutes.
