REVIEW:
For his first album, BALLADS 1 isn't that bad. I loved the variety and experimentation throughout the project, though it did lack consistency and structure. I still appreciate the fact that he does experiment with a lot of sounds throughout this album, even when they work and don't work.
I know that Joji's music isn't for everybody. Yes, he does sometimes sound like an edgy teen complaining about their love life on tumblr, but that type of 'aesthetic' is nice during certain moods. If you're sad and lonely or just want to listen to some chill music, go ahead and play this album :)
