Kerbal Operating System, or kOS for short, is a way for you to programatically interact with your Kerbal craft. You can issue single commands using the kOS language, or write programs to automate a whole range of tasks. Sure, this mod isn't for everyone, but knowing it exists just makes the world a better place, I reckon.
Time for my soapbox: If you're passionate about science, engineering, or think one day you might want to get into programming, then I can think of nothing better than spending some time with kOS. You can see the impact of your work right away, you'll learn a ton about physics, programming, and other interesting topics, and hey - it might help you get a job, as it did TheGreatFez! Employers love passion!

Never heard of KSP? Where have you been?! In KSP, you must build space-worthy craft, capable of flying your crew out into space, without killing them. At your disposal are a collection of parts, which must be assembled to create a functional ship. Each part has its own function and will affect the way a ship flies (or doesn't). So strap yourself in, and get ready to try some Rocket Science!
