INSTALLING S7-PLCSIM V16 (Direct Start Simulation in TIA Portal)
To start programming in the TIA Portal, we need a PLC to run our program. However, not everyone has the option to purchase one.
For this reason, Siemens has developed a simulator for the TIA Portal called S7-PLCSIM. With this simulator, we can simulate a CPU: a SIMATIC S7-1200, an S7-1500, or an ET200.
The first thing you should know is that to use this simulator, you must have the same version installed in both cases. For example, if we have TIA Portal V16 installed, we must also install PLCSIM V16.
