Kampuchea Krom Loss Commemoration: Rest in Peace Ven. Yoeung Sin
A brief background on the Kampuchea Krom Loss Commemoration. Most of the footage in this video were shot on June 4, 2010. The event took place at Wat Samaky Raingsey Pagoda in Phnom Penh because the corrupted goverment would not give us permission to hold the ceremony at any places we proposed in Cambodia. Courageously, Venerable Yoeung Sin and the brave team went with plan Z during the last several hours, risking the arrest. He let us use Wat Samaky Raingsey Pagoda, where he presided to hold this famous ceremony successfully while no abbots from other temple were willing to do so.
On September 28, 2010, the news shocked me badly:
"Ven. Yoeung Sin, the Abbot of the Wat Samaky Raingsey Pagoda and President of the Khmer Kampuchea Krom Monks Association in Cambodia, passed away due to old age????? at a hospital in Phnom Penh on Monday 27 September 2010." Source: KI Media
