This is a PRACTICAL guide NOT an explanation of the engineering design principles in ethernet cables. In this video I talk about the different cables that are used as well as cabling buildings for computer access. Ethernet cable is the standard that is used throughout the world to cable buildings. However there are many types of Ethernet computer cables. I explain why certain cables should be used at certain times, in certain types of buildings and for certain applications. I talso discuss standard cabling that's used in homes and in businesses. At this time, Category 5e and Category 6 are used extensively in homes and commercial buildings. At the making of this video the most popular cable is category 6. However as time goes on the categories will increase. In the future category 6a category 7 and category 8 I am sure will be used. Just remember that this information is time-sensitive and is accurate at this time. It was recorded in the spring of 2021. The shift to higher categories is a slow shift sometimes taking a decade or more, so this information should be accurate for many years.
