YouTube channel hacked - How to be safe ? Fake Sponsorship Scam | Phishing | Fake Promotion
Hello everybody! YouTube creators and possibly other social media influencers are facing a very dangerous situation. Hackers and scammers are trying to hack YouTube accounts by luring YouTubers into sponsorship offers or promotional campaigns that are actually not real. They are being offered a lot of money to make videos for the products, apps, games etc. that do not exist in reality. These threat of a fake sponsorship scam is also very alarming for the other social media influencers as well.
The hackers or scammers are trying a technique called "Phishing" in which they are trying to make someone believe that they are representing a company to promote their software or game or a product. Many YouTubers, specially those with lesser number of subscribers have already fallen in this trap.
In this video, I will tell you the story about what happened with me and how my YouTube account was almost hacked. YouTube account hacked or not, this was a huge experience for me. I will tell you how to be safe from these fake sponsorship emails and how to secure your account. Especially, how to secure your YouTube Account. So, keep your Google account / Gmail account safe.
