On Luke Perry, and Life & Death
As a kid growing up, I remember my parents always taking note of someone "from their generation" passing away. I didn't understand the impact of what they were saying at the time. As I get older, and the heroes and celebrities I grew up with pass away, I begin to fully appreciate their experience. Luke Perry's passing stokes some sentiments I have had about death for a long time - how we take for granted that people are here and will be here. But that can change from one day to the next, like the flick of a switch. Forgive the stream of consciousness. Peace out.
