Specific Absorption Rate (or SAR) is the official measurement used to calculate how much radiation a person is exposed to when using a particular model of mobile phone. All mobile phone models are SAR measured before they are released for sale. The SAR rating for a particular phone can be looked up on the internet.
SAR testing is still only an approximation but it is the best radiation absorption measurement method available.
