The PLAN-B Project invited policymakers, researchers, industry professionals, and stakeholders to participate in an international online workshop focused on the regulation of ALAN.
This event explored the current landscape and future direction of light pollution policy and regulations through expert presentations, panel discussions, and collaborative dialogue.
The primary aim was to support the development of an evidence-based policy brief on light pollution, to be submitted to the European Commission by June 2025. The workshop will:
Share national and regional experiences in light pollution legislation
Identify common regulatory challenges and gaps
Highlight best practices and emerging trends in ALAN governance
Facilitate cross-sectoral dialogue and cooperation.
