Series Analysis - KUBRA
A TV series called Kübra started.
It was released on Netflix.
It is an 8-episode series.
. It has an interesting subject. It's the kind of story that will push you towards such intense reading.
Especially on this channel, they have especially dramatized and conveyed some of the concepts about the future of humanity that I have been discussing in recent years.
In this video, I want to talk about both that series and the concepts it deals with, but of course I have to be a little careful because it is a story that carries the risk of "very heavy spoilers".
So in this first part of the video, I'm going to choose my wording very carefully.

Well, that's all well and good, but what is the subject of the series, you ask?
In the synopsis made public, the following was written:
Gökhan, who lives in the back streets of Istanbul, is an honest and hard-working young man who works in an auto mechanic.
His biggest dream is to marry his fiancee and put his life in order.
Gökhan's ordinary life is turned upside down by the messages that start coming from the virtual friendship group he is a part of, an account named 'KÜBRA'.
Kübra gives him some information and warnings about unexpected events that no one knows about.
Over time, this messaging takes Gökhan on a path he never expected.
In this journey, Gökhan will have enemies as well as supporters.
Now, let me be honest, it may be a little difficult to make a viewing decision with only this much information.
Here's what it was once upon a time.
There was a character named Gökhan, played by Çağatay Ulusoy.
he was working at an auto mechanic.
And he started corresponding with an account he didn't know named KÜBRA from the virtual friendship group installed on his mobile phone.
This is like saying Alice started falling down a well to go to Wonderland.
When you see the credits of the series, you realize that there may be some signs of something more than that.
For example, look at these word games.
KÜBRA – EKBER – KIBIR – KEBİR – KABİR – KUBRA.
What do these keywords mean?
What do these concepts have in common, other than the fact that they all have the consonants K, B and R?
When we rewind the credits a little, a very deep question comes from the mouth of our main character:
Why is there something instead of nothing? Existence and nonexistence.
Consciousness and Faith.
This story has a philosophical subtext about the relations between the creator and the creature.
It explores the consequences of having consciousness and therefore searching for meaning in everything.
It questions that feeling of "chosenness" that almost all of us have now.
In the age of social media, haven't we all become like that?
Aren't we trying to be among those few "chosen people" who see those big pictures by discovering patterns among the bits of data and information we find?
Don't we all want to feel different?
The first message from KÜBRA: YOU ARE DIFFERENT. I will talk about the next part of the video without worrying about "spoilers".
