We spend a full day on this curious Region which is located between Moldova and Ukraine. Transnistria self-proclaimed itself a state after a conflict with Moldova.
Unrecognised by UN, the region is supported strongly by Russia and you notice this when you cross the border (https://goo.gl/zqKL1u).
Transnistria runs its own Parliament, currency, army and dispatches passports that can't be used anywhere else. This is a strange territory in the old continent that deserves a visit if you wish to get the real flavor of how life used to be in the former USSR.
