I sneakily published a new Skillshare class for you, all about mindful doodling and using color as a place to play and embark upon a journey of more connected drawing: https://skl.sh/3V6CAKJ
Connected to the self, to your intuition, to your body, to your senses, to playfulness, to experimentation and to fun. :)
If you sometimes feel scared to open your sketchbook, or the idea of drawing fills you with dread and worry and a ‘pressure to perform’, this class is FOR YOU.
We’re all familiar with feelings of anxiety around drawing, and this exercise is built to soothe and gently transform those feelings. It’s an exercise that I hope you’ll integrate on a daily basis, because by practicing these techniques consistently, little by little, over time, and with intention, it will completely transform your way of relating to the process of art-making.
I can say that confidently because it’s completely transformed my anxieties and fears around art. It was my way in to cultivating a healthier, more loving, compassionate, and growth-oriented art practice that has sustained me over the long term. (12 years now! yah like whut)
So that art can accompany me on the good days, and the bad days, and everything in between.
You don’t need to be in a good place to draw. You don’t need to be in a ‘creative mood’ to draw. You don’t need to be ANYTHING to draw. All you need, is to be you. To be with you. No matter where you’re at, or how you’re feeling.
Cultivating presence is magic.
In this class, I show you how.
